Undergraduate Admissions
The Stevens Advantage
Undergraduate students at Stevens benefit from studying at a distinctive, premier research university with a long, celebrated legacy of innovation. Since its founding in 1870 by America’s First Family of Inventors, one characteristic has remained consistent over the University’s history: Stevens educates and inspires students to lead in scientific discovery and in the creation, application and management of technology to solve complex problems and build new enterprises. Our activities are driven by our institutional priorities:
- Student Centricity
- Excellence In All We Do
- Through Collaboration, Impact
- Technology At Our Core
Being an incubator of innovation means that Stevens makes a difference in its students’ lives and in the world. Whether developing innovations that provide clean water to underdeveloped communities, modern devices for surgeons, artificial intelligence for autonomous vehicles, or ways to detect and prevent computer attacks, the innovation that happens at Stevens is purposeful. It makes a positive impact on humanity, leads students to the careers they desire, and gives them the connections and experience they need to bring their knowledge, creativity and confidence to bear in a meaningful way.
Stevens offers competitive academic programs in business, humanities & arts, engineering and science, which include unique majors like music and technology, cybersecurity, and quantitative finance and interesting minors like green engineering, game design, and science writing. With exceptional opportunities for project-based learning, internships, undergraduate research, and cooperative education, students gain the experience and connections they need to change today’s environment and prepare for tomorrow’s challenges. Programs for especially ambitious, high-achieving students push the boundaries even further.
