- Our Constituents:
We serve students, the academic community, government, industry, alumni, and society as a whole.
We serve two main student constituencies at the graduate level: those with a technical background seeking management knowledge, and those with management background seeking technical knowledge.
At the undergraduate level, we serve students who are interested in acquiring core business knowledge with a technical emphasis, as well as in developing specialized knowledge in a particular business domain.
We attract graduate and undergraduate students from around the globe while maintaining a strong regional base of students, alumni, and corporate and government partners.
- Our Educational Programs:
We provide graduate programs to satisfy people at different stages of their career: the MBA for those who have prior business experience and seek to broaden their knowledge in business and technology management disciplines, the Masters of Science program for those who seek deep knowledge in specific disciplines, and Ph.D. programs for those preparing for careers in research.
We provide undergraduate programs to educate future business leaders. We offer the Business & Technology degree that offers students the ability to learn about business and technology as drivers of business success, and allows them to specialize in a specific business discipline. We offer the Quantitative Finance degree for students wanting to specialize in the computational aspects of finance. Both programs provide opportunities to engage in other disciplines. We also offer business minors for all undergraduate students at Stevens.
All of our programs emphasize the importance of team building, communicating, collaborating, analyzing, and applying knowledge to practice.
- Our Research Endeavors:
We perform research at the intersection of business and technology, and specifically focus on the following three areas: Creativity and Innovation: Generating ideas, products, and processes; Collaboration and Networks: Understanding the changing nature of teams, organizations, crowds, and markets; Decision Analytics and Big Data: Building collective intelligence.
- Our Service and Outreach:
We serve the school, the university, and surrounding community through our research, teaching and other outreach activities. We continuously assess and improve our research and teaching with the help of outside advisors drawn from industry and government.
