Stevens Institute of Technology carries a proud legacy of tradition and innovation, and the University has carried that tradition throughout its 142-year history down to the present day. Stevens alumni helped design the physical backbone of the Internet, manage the preparation of NASA spacecraft for the Apollo moon launches, and discover the neutrino, among many other accomplishments.
On April 6, in recognition of some of the remarkable achievements and individuals associated with the Institute, the University presented the first annual Stevens Awards Gala in Gotham Hall in midtown Manhattan. Thirteen distinguished alumni and friends were celebrated for their lifetime accomplishments.
