Mariel Marshall, M.S., LPC, NCC, CRC
Mariel Marshall is a Staff Psychotherapist at Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). Mariel is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC). She holds a Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology from Ithaca College. Mariel is currently pursuing her PhD in Counseling at Montclair State University.
Mariel has experience working with diverse populations, in community mental health and private practice settings, addressing challenges such as anxiety, depression, and interpersonal issues through modalities like CBT, DBT, and Strengths-Based Therapy. Mariel is passionate about cultural humility and integrating inclusive treatment practices for individuals with psychiatric and developmental disabilities. She is dedicated to empowering her clients through strength-based and client-centered therapeutic approaches.
In her free time, Mariel actively volunteers in community outreach programs, expressing her self-creativity through nail art, reading, and going on peaceful walks.
