Meet the Staff
Phillip Gehman, Director of Disability Services
In his role as Director, Phillip supervises the provision of services for students with disabilities within all undergraduate and graduate programs at Stevens. Phillip is responsible for developing and updating policies and procedures, managing the office operating budget, and representing the office on various University, state, and national committees and associations.Prior to joining Stevens, Phillip oversaw the Office of Disability Services at Susquehanna University, in Pennsylvania. Phillip received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Louisville and he remains a passionate fan of the University of Louisville athletic programs. Phillip is also fluent in American Sign Language and enjoys signing whenever he gets the opportunity.Email: [email protected]
Gloria Garcia, Coordinator of Disabilities Services
Gloria works with the Director of the Office of Disability Resources to manage the office and regularly meet with students to assist them with developing their time management skills, knowledge of campus resources, and finding ways to connect with peers on campus. Prior to joining Stevens, Gloria worked in the Elizabeth Public schools as a teacher assistant for students with disabilities, where she would implement different strategies to support the unique needs of each student. Gloria has received her graduate and undergraduate degrees at Kean University. She has earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology and her Master’s in Human Behavior and Organizational Psychology.Email: [email protected]
Tina David-Cisse, Graduate Coordinator of Disability Services
As the Graduate Coordinator Tina works alongside Gloria the Coordinator of Disability services and Phillip the Director of Disability Services to meet the needs of students at Stevens. Tina is currently a Graduate student at New York University pursuing a Masters in Higher Education and Student Affairs. Prior to joining Stevens Tina earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Science at Montclair State University. Tina is excited to join The Office of Disability Services this year and help students thrive at Stevens.
