Lori Staffin Traweek
ENERGY INDUSTRY BOARD MEMBER AND SENIOR ADVISOR
Lori Staffin Traweek currently serves on three energy industry boards, following her career as the Chief Operating Officer at the American Gas Association where she worked in various capacities for 33 years.
Ms. Traweek has been and continues to be devoted to enhancing safety, security and the environment, working with the Department of Transportation on groundbreaking pipeline safety regulations, helping to develop reasonable and effective approaches to cyber and physical security, and initiating a voluntary EPA program to reduce methane emissions. She has represented the industry before Congress, regulatory bodies and policymakers. Ms. Traweek also spearheaded industry wide programs to help advance energy delivery safety, security and environmental stewardship.
Ms. Traweek serves on the boards of TRC Companies, Picarro Company and GTI Energy and formerly served on the boards of the National Energy Foundation and Center for Energy Workforce Development.
In her distinguished career Ms.Traweek has received the American Public Gas Association Personal Service Award; she is a Rader Energy’s Key Women in Energy-Americas Leadership honoree; she received Purdue University’s Outstanding Mechanical Engineering Achievement Award and the National Association of State Fire Marshals Norman Y. Mineta Excellence in Transportation Safety Award.
Ms. Traweek holds a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University and a B.S. degree in communications from Ithaca College.
Lori Staffin Traweek and her husband Bill have two adult children, Scott and Julie, and live in Annapolis, Maryland.
