ABSTRACT

The Chomsky hierarchy for groups is an attempt to classify groups from the point of view of languages. Successful steps of this classification include finite and virtually free groups, while the currently studied step is the one given by co-context-free groups. A conjecture of Lehnert characterizes these groups as those contained in Thompson's group V. In this talk, we define a new family of co-context-free groups and discuss examples and properties.
