ABSTRACT

Sustainability professionals play a vital role in transforming complex environmental data into actionable insights that drive meaningful change. In this talk, I will explore my role as Lead Sustainability Analyst at Apis, where we focus on reducing methane emissions from landfills through cutting-edge monitoring and control technology. I’ll dive into how we analyze environmental data to identify trends and optimize landfill gas capture, ultimately improving sustainability practices. Beyond the data, I’ll discuss my involvement in marketing and communications, where I bridge the gap between technical insights and actionable business strategies. This includes collaborating with stakeholders to tailor solutions that meet both market needs and regulatory requirements, while also using our data to inform and shape public policy. By effectively communicating the value of data-driven sustainability initiatives, we empower stakeholders to make informed decisions that propel environmental progress. This session will demonstrate how data, technology, and communications intersect to create tangible, impactful solutions that drive real-world change.
