Toward a Promising Future
Dear Fellow Alumni,
I am excited to write to you as the new Stevens Alumni Association (SAA) president, a role I have been building toward through consistent volunteerism since graduating from Stevens in 2015.
Before sharing my outlook for this term, I would like to thank the SAA Board of Directors, the Stevens leadership team and staff, our team of SAA officers, and especially our outgoing SAA President John R. Dearborn, Jr. ’79 M. Eng. ’81 and our SAA Executive Secretary Megan Stevens for their generosity of time and knowledge to ensure a smooth leadership transition. Thanks to their support, I was able to hit the ground running.
The SAA has an accomplished past, a storied legacy and a promising future. In this role, I look forward to all of us continuing to support Stevens in achieving its strategic plan, amplifying our sense of camaraderie and community among alumni and strengthening our alumni volunteer experiences.
As we in the SAA Board and Stevens leadership ramp up this year, I have a charge for all alumni: Get involved and connected. Be sure to join us on StevensConnects, where you can engage with Stevens alumni who are in your industry or geographic region or who share your interests. Show up at alumni events, mentor students, wear your Stevens gear and be proudly engaged with your alma mater. Whatever way works for you, your interests and your schedule, we want to connect with you.
Please feel free to reach out to me directly at [email protected]. My email inbox is open for business and I look forward to learning about your ideas for making the SAA a more robust community, dedicated to the success of Stevens. I will continue listening, to ensure that your involvement is as meaningful for you as it has been for me.
