As senior mechanical engineer at Johnson & Johnson, Jessie Wos ’14 develops the cart infrastructure for NeuWave™ Microwave Ablation Systems, contributing to the availability of a highly promising alternative to radiation treatment for tumors.

Wos was recruited by Stevens, along with her twin sister Becky ’14, to play soccer for the Ducks. She also served as a resident assistant and was active in Alpha Phi Omega and the Society of Women Engineers. She earned the Clinical Engineering Services, Inc. Design Excellence Award and graduated from Stevens with high honors.

When she learned that her classmate, Nicole Griggs ’14, had relocated to Wisconsin, she reached out and the two began building a Wisconsin alumni chapter that reaches up to 70 Stevens graduates statewide and draws participants from the Illinois border and Chicago.

She is excited about receiving the Harold R. Fee Award this year. “This is very cool,” she says. “I can’t believe the Wisconsin chapter is nearly 10 years old already! It started out slow, but we are excited about keeping it going – and growing. We enjoy coming up with interesting things to do, and we are keeping track of what works to help inform alumni in other regions who might want to follow our lead.”
