Online Graduate Programs Rank Top 20 Nationally, No. 1 in New Jersey

SSE, SSB recognized in the latest 'U.S. News & World Report' rankings

Stevens Institute of Technology continues to rank as a leader in online education by U.S. News & World Report, which released its 2025 Best Online Programs rankings today.

Placing nationally in six online graduate education categories between the Charles V. Schaefer, Jr. School of Engineering and Science and School of Business, Stevens claims the No. 1 spot in New Jersey in five of those categories, including the newly ranked Online Master's in Industrial (Systems) Engineering Programs. This also marks the 10th year in a row that Stevens’ online MBA has ranked No. 1 in New Jersey.

"Stevens’ commitment to developing high quality and professionally relevant online programs is evident in its recognition year after year,” said Arshad Saiyed, Chief Online Learning Officer and Dean of the College of Professional Education (CPE), which will begin offering Stevens’ online programs in the fall. “We are thrilled to build upon this foundation of excellence with the launch of CPE, and pioneer Stevens' next generation of technology-driven learning."

The rankings for all six programs are:

  • Best Online Master’s in Industrial (Systems) Engineering, No. 6 (No.1 in New Jersey)

  • Best Online Graduate Computer Information Technology, No. 19 (No. 1 in New Jersey for 10 years in a row)

  • Best Online Master’s in Engineering Programs for Veterans, No. 30 (No. 1 in New Jersey)

  • Best Online Graduate Engineering, No. 36 (No. 1 in New Jersey)

  • Best Online MBA, No. 65 (No. 1 in New Jersey for 10 years in a row)

  • Best Online Graduate Business (non-MBA), No. 42 (No. 2 in New Jersey)

These rankings are the latest in a string of achievements spanning more than a decade of growth marked by a consistent upward trend of enrollment, student profile, academic and campus expansion, and research funding.
