Stevens Online MBA Program Ranked No. 1 in New Jersey
Program jumps 13 spots in U.S. News & World Report national rankings
The Stevens School of Business is among the nation’s top 20 percent in the U.S. News & World Report online rankings for both Best Online MBA and Best Online Master’s in Business Programs.
The online MBA program improved 13 spots (No. 60) and holds the highest ranking of any program in the State of New Jersey. Stevens is ranked 35th in the nation in online business programs.
“One of the main selling points was how involved the advisors were with it,” said Melanie Ung, a current online MBA student. “It’s super flexible with time changes and everything, and I really like how the program is very individualized.”
The online MBA program added two in-person immersion events to its curriculum this year. The first was held on the Stevens campus. In addition to networking and community building, the itinerary included a 1.5-credit course created specifically for the participants called, “The Future of Work.” The first two sessions were held online to prepare them for their five classes in Hoboken and the course wrapped up with one final Zoom meeting.
“My biggest takeaway from the weekend was that we all have the same goals—to succeed, collaborate, network and make wonderful memories with our peers,” said online MBA student Steven Palacios. “Nobody is a stranger anymore. We can work together through our classes, help each other and contact each other without the fear of the unknown between us.”
The Stevens School of Business offers nine online master’s degrees, including business intelligence & analytics, enterprise project management, finance, financial technology and analytics, financial engineering, information systems, management, MBA and an analytics MBA.
Leveraging the latest technology, the Stevens online experience includes the opportunity to engage with experienced faculty and collaborate with a diverse community of students from around the world.
"We are thrilled to be recognized once again for our excellence in online education,” said Gregory Prastacos, Dean of the Stevens School of Business. “These rankings reflect our ability to embrace the latest technology and integrate innovation into our online curriculum. More and more students are choosing to pursue their education online, and we will continue pushing ourselves to find new ways to meet their needs and provide cutting-edge education in today's rapidly changing business landscape."
