Stevens Systems and Engineering Degrees Climb In Online Rankings
The School of Systems and Enterprises’ online degrees named 21st nationwide, best in New Jersey.
In recognition of its pursuit to educate tomorrow’s leaders and to reinvigorate the learning experience, the School of Systems and Enterprises (SSE) online master's degree programs have been ranked 21st nationwide and as the best available in their fields in New Jersey by U.S. News & World Report.
"The School of Systems and Enterprises online degrees ensure the highest level of competencies for our online students, effectively preparing them for a high-level career," said Dr. Yehia Massoud, dean of the School of Systems and Enterprises. "I am very proud of our faculty that we were able to become the best-ranked online systems and engineering degrees in the state of New Jersey, as well as our nationwide ranking."
The School of Systems and Enterprises' online master's degree programs increased from 22nd to 21st over the course of the last year in U.S. News & World Report Best Online Programs. As part of Stevens Institute of Technology’s StevensOnline portfolio of advanced and high-demand master’s degree programs, SSE’s ranking increase was also joined by the School of Engineering and Science and the School of Business, whose rankings improved across multiple areas.
"Our consistent improvement in the rankings reflects SSE's commitment to our online graduate programs, said Mo Mansouri, Research Associate Professor and Program Lead for Systems Engineering. "We deliver critical learning in a flexible, virtual environment using technology that is adapted for improved outcomes our students, faculty and industry partners."
"During the last decade, we have worked hard to sustain the high quality of our online offerings taught both on campus and online by our premier faculty," said Dr. Jose Ramirez-Marquez, associate professor and division director of enterprise science and engineering.
The School of Systems and Enterprises offers five online master's degree programs in engineering management, software engineering, space systems engineering, systems analytics and systems engineering, as well as an array of relevant graduate certificates. Prospective online students who apply to an online master's program can potentially receive a tuition discount of up to 25 percent upon acceptance to the program.
"We are very proud of our online education programs, which have been growing in both attendance and student successes," said teaching professor and software engineering program lead Gregg Vesonder. "This growth is a testimony to the student centricity of our faculty both online and on campus."
