Transfer Credit Information
Students who wish to have course credit from another institution transfer to Stevens must have an official transcript sent to [email protected]. The Registrar will data enter the course work in Workday and the appropriate department will update the course equivalency.
Transfer Credit Information
Current students should start by visiting the Transfer Credit Articulation page to see if the course has been previously evaluated.
Students must submit an Application for Transfer Credit (ATC) request via Workday for each individual course. If the course does not appear in the Transfer Credit Articulation database, please attach the syllabus to the request.
For courses that do not appear in the transfer credit articulation database, obtain a complete course syllabus from the college/university offering the course. Please note: a complete course syllabus should contain information on weekly course topics, grading and assessments, and course textbooks.
The ATC request will be processed by the Office of Undergraduate Academics and evaluated by the academic department, if necessary.
Students should enroll in the course only after confirming the approval of the Application for Transfer Credit.
Once the Application for Transfer Credit is approved, and the course is complete, an official transcript from the external institution, showing a grade of C or higher in the course(s) being transferred, will need to be sent to the Office of the Registrar at [email protected].
Please note: We cannot accept transcripts from students. Transcripts must be sent to the Registrar’s Office directly from the external college or university.
The Office of the Registrar will process the transcript to Workday and notify the Office of Undergraduate Academics to articulate any approved courses onto the student’s Workday record. This process may take 7-10 business days after the transcript has been received.
More information is available in the Policy Library.
