Office of University Events

Created in 2013, the Office of University events was established to provide structure to the departments and organizations on campus involved in event management. In addition, the office is directly responsible for university-wide functions that involve multiple departments, such as Commencement and Convocation.

Coursedog Training Webinar

Join University Events on Friday, Sept. 8 at 2 p.m. for a zoom training webinar for the new event management system, Coursedog.

Room Reservations

The Office of University Events, in collaboration with the Office of the Provost, Division of Information Technology and Office of the Registrar, is pleased to announce the replacement of EMS with the launch of our new event reservation and management system.

Coursedog was selected after a thorough review of several vendors due to its ability to:

  • produce space and resource-optimized scheduling

  • automatically route schedules and requests for approvals within a single system, and

  • integrate with Workday

Please note that events already submitted through EMS have been transferred to Coursedog. All event requests moving forward should be done through the Coursedog University Events Calendar, which also displays designated events to the Stevens community. Staff that request events on a regular basis may also submit requests through Coursedog on their myStevens dashboard.

If you are not part of the Stevens community, please contact the Office of University Events to inquire about rental space on campus.

Online Support for Stevens Users

Users are encouraged to review the Coursedog Event Management guides and training videos on the Stevens Support Portal page before submitting requests. The Office of University Events will host a training webinar and virtual office hours in September to answer questions and to offer assistance with the system. The dates/times and additional information and resources will be posted on the University Events Stevens Hub site.
