On September 17, 1787, members of the Constitutional Convention signed the United States Constitution in Philadelphia. To mark the anniversary of this seminal event in U.S. history, join us for Stevens Institute of Technology’s Constitution Day celebration.

2024 Constitution Day Lecture:
A Historical Overview of the Constitution

This lecture will discuss some of the historical context of the Constitution and themes in the document, including federalism and the checks-and-balances system. The historical significance of some of the main sections of the Constitution will also be addressed and the lecture will close with a look at the evolution of voting rights through major Constitutional amendments.
