Katelyn Delano, LCSW
Katelyn Delano is a Staff Psychotherapist at Counseling and Psychological Services. She obtained her BA in Psychology from Boston College and her Masters’ in Social Work (MSW) from New York University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of New Jersey (NJ License No. 44SC05467000). Katelyn has over 10 years of counseling experience, much of it working with adults struggling with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, psychosis, and trauma. She previously worked at the Portland VA Medical Center’s Substance Abuse Treatment Program, where she counseled veterans using both abstinence-based and harm reduction approaches. During her time at the VA, she completed training programs in Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Katelyn has worked at several other mental health agencies, in Oregon and New Jersey, providing individual and group to adults presenting with a range of mental health and substance use issues. Most recently, Katelyn worked at Columbia University’s Center for Women’s Reproductive Care where she counseled women undergoing fertility treatment and managed their egg donor program.
