Lori Traweek, Chief Operating Officer, American Gas Association

ABSTRACTLori Traweek, Chief Operating Officer, American Gas Association

Energy is fundamental to individuals and critical to the world’s economy. Global consumers demand energy that is affordable and produced in an environmentally responsible manner, and without sacrifice to their comfort and convenience. Businesses and governments are spending trillions of dollars to employ new technologies that efficiently harness our natural resources to meet this demand. Leaders from all sectors must reconcile their collective desires for a low-carbon future with today’s political and technical realities. Join Lori Traweek for a fact-based discussion on an approach to U.S. energy policy that addresses national security, reliability, sustainability and affordability as it pertains to the future roles of fossil fuels and renewable energy.
