Assistant Professor Chunlei Qu
In our research, we apply theoretical tools to a broad range of questions in atomic, molecular, optical (AMO) physics and topological condensed matter physics.
The problems that we solve are always conceptually new and experimentally relevant.
The main long-term goal of our theoretical research is to understand and harness various quantum systems for applications in quantum information science such as the development of quantum computers, quantum sensors, etc.
Specific research directions include:
Quantum optics
Nonlinear optics
Topological photonics
Ultracold quantum gases
Machine learning for physics
