Stevens-Drew Partnership for Master of Science in Software Engineering

Stevens Institute of Technology has collaborated with Drew University to provide Drew students with the opportunity to begin graduate courses for the MS in Software Engineering as an undergraduate student at Drew. Upon graduating with the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Cybersecurity, Drew students will be able to complete the Stevens Master of Science in Software Engineering in one year on-campus in Hoboken, New Jersey.

Stevens Software Engineering MS program allows students to build a strong foundation in software creation through the inception, design and build, and testing and maintenance phases. The program combines a deep core in software engineering principles and practices with application to a series of increasingly complex systems challenges drawn from the real world. Students are trained in all aspects of software creation from specification through analysis and design, to testing, maintenance and evaluation of the product.

• The admission requirements and procedure for students in the DREW BS Program shall be the same as those for students regularly admitted to the DREW BS program.

• The Mathematics and Computer Science Department at DREW shall nominate DREW students with a major in Computer Science or Cybersecurity for admission to Stevens for the Coordinated Program no later than February 15, for those beginning the Coordinated Program in the following Fall Semester.

• ln order to be admitted, DREW applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.2 at the time the student applies and a 3.0 in the Drew courses for which there will be transfer credit unless specifically approved by Stevens' appropriate graduate admission committee.

• The admissions requirements for students to attend Stevens' MS program shall be the same as those for students regularly admitted to Stevens' graduate programs. Such requirements will include, without limitation, obtaining official transcripts, letters of recommendation from faculty, a minimum GPA of 3.2, and if determined by Stevens, an in-person or online interview.

• GRE requirements will be waived for students applying to the Coordinated Program if the applicant has completed five semesters of undergraduate studies at DREW at the time of the application and has achieved the required GPA of 3.2.

Stevens will maintain a fellowship of $10,000 for each qualifying DREW student who participates in the Coordinated Program. This fellowship is to be applied to the Stevens tuition and fees of each student enrolled in the Coordinated program. In order to receive the scholarship, a qualifying student must have completed their course of study at DREW with a GPA of 3.5 or above in their BS degree.
