Mayer, Ed.D., directs and manages the university’s financial operations and leads the financial planning, budgeting and reporting process. Dr. Mayer has over 25 years of financial management experience in three consecutive assignments as Chief Financial Officer of major higher education and foundation organizations in the Philadelphia Region. Prior to his appointment at Stevens Institute of Technology, he served as the Vice President for Financial Affairs & Treasurer at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.

Beth McGrath
VICE PRESIDENT FOR UNIVERSITY RELATIONS AND CHIEF OF STAFF
Beth McGrath, Vice President for University Relations and Chief of Staff, is a Stevens veteran with more than 30 years of leadership experience in university administration and within the academic enterprise. As Vice President for University Relations, Beth leads the university’s communications and marketing efforts; represents Stevens' interests with local, state, and federal governments; serves as the liaison with community members and organizations; and is tasked with building a university corporate relations program. As Chief of Staff to the President, Beth manages operations and special initiatives for the Office of the President and serves as an advisor to the President.

Susan Metz
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION
Susan Metz, Executive Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, led the Lore-El Center for Women in Engineering and Science and was a co-founder of the nationally-recognized Women in Engineering Proactive Network (WEPAN). Through board participation, publications and grant administration, she has helped to advance the national STEM diversity policy agenda.

INTERIM VICE PRESIDENT FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER
Mike Parente serves as Interim Vice President for Information Technology and CIO. Mike has been at Stevens for over 15 years where he has held several other positions prior to his current role. He also spent time in the financial sector at Citigroup and has over 20 years of experience in the information technology field. Mike provides oversight and leadership for the Enterprise Platform and Data Services unit, which is responsible for enterprise applications such as Workday, web services, integrations, data analytics, and business intelligence, as well as the overall strategic planning for the division.

Laura Rose was appointed Vice President for Development and Alumni Engagement in May 2020 and has more than 20 years of experience as a fundraising executive at two major research universities and at one of the world’s premier museums. She is responsible for Stevens’ ambitious goals including: completing our $200 million campaign, The Power of Stevens; increasing alumni engagement; and continuing to build world-class development and alumni engagement programs.
