Mental Health and Suicide Prevention
The Office of Counseling and Psychological Services provides free and confidential counseling for Stevens students, along with workshops, campaigns, and educational interventions such as Mental Health First Aid to promote awareness within the Stevens community.
Since 2013, Stevens has worked closely with The Jed Foundation toward the continued development and expansion of systems, programs, and policies that promote mental health and suicide prevention. In 2022, Stevens was one of five institutes of higher education nationwide to receive the prestigious Active Minds Healthy Campus Award, in recognition of excellence in supporting student mental health and well-being. In 2023, Stevens became one of the first institutions of higher education in the nation to engage in Jed 2.0, a re-evaluation of progress and priorities ten years following our initial Jed Campus review.
